FRANK ARTHUR SMITH is a queer writer / director / actor / producer originally from Boston, Massachusetts. He was most recently staffed on two TV series for YouTube: children's comedy OCEAN EXPLORERS from Moonbug Entertainment (COCOMELON) and Baby Einstein (937K subscribers), and MY STORY ANIMATED from ZVoid (21.9M subscribers). Previously, he wrote on Disney Channel’s RAVEN’S HOME. Prior to that, he wrote an animated pilot with Tornante TV (BOJACK HORSEMAN), developed a live-action series with Vice Studios (FYRE), and rewrote a horror movie with Fangoria (THE STANDOFF AT SPARROW CREEK). He also starred in Episode 5 of Emmy Award-nominated TIDYING UP WITH MARIE KONDO on Netflix, with his co-writer, co-director, and co-fiancé, Matt Hartman.

His LGBTQIA+ comedy series, OPEN TO IT, in which he stars, writes, directs, and Executive Produces, was an Official Selection of festivals including: Outfest, where it received two special encore screenings; Rio LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, where it was the opening night film; Wicked Queer: Boston’s LGBTQ+ Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best Comedy Short; NewFilmmakers Los Angeles, where it was nominated for two Best of NewFilmmakers Los Angeles Awards: Best Comedy Performance, and Best New Media / Experimental (losing to Megan Thee Stallion's "Thot Shit"); Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival, where it won a Festival Favorite Award; the inaugural Gay Binge Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Prize for Best Performance; the inaugural New Bedford Film Festival, where it won Best Screenwriting in a TV series, receiving additional nominations for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Directing, and Best TV Series. The first three episodes received over 1 million views before being acquired by OUTtv, a Canadian cable channel available in over 15 million homes, and US streaming service with over 1 million subscribers. The show can be watched on Amazon / Apple / Roku, and features legendary RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE stars Manila Luzon, Laganja Estranja, Honey Davenport, and Pandora Boxx, as well as Deaf Latina drag queen influencers, Deafies in Drag. He and Matt will soon be co-writing on a new, under-wraps Moonbug Entertainment comedy series.
